We are at the half-way point of Hughson's fiscal year. We are thankful for the Lord's provision to date for a positive balance in our operating fund of close to $8,000. We are encouraged by this result and that it comes through general offerings that are stronger than at this point last year. The one item to watch is that we are behind our budgeted amounts for the year as there are many large expenses that come with our summer ministries that are just around the corner as we move into Spring.
We also continue to pray that the remaining funds needed to complete the James Street Project will come in by the end of the project. (Now slated for occupancy in July). There is a need for almost $5M to complete the building project.
We are thankful for $9,000 that came in this past week for the project, which means we need only another $29,000 to cover a $772,000 invoice due this coming week. These gifts could be from previously pledged funds or new gifts, it is just a matter of having the cash on hand to cover the invoice.
